Homemade Citrus Salt

This simple and versatile condiment combines the vibrant essence of dried citrus fruits with the savoury essence of salt. With just a few easy steps, you can create your own citrus salt blend that will elevate the taste of your favorite summer dishes.

Recipe: Citrus Salt

Ingredients:

- 2-3 slices of dried citrus (Lemon, Lime, or Orange)

- 1 cup of salt (preferably Maldon or Fleur Du Sel)

Instructions:

  1. Place 3-4 slices of your favorite dried citrus in a food processor (can mix and match if you would like).
  1. Pulse the food processor a few times (until the citrus slices are finely chopped and blended)
  1. Add 1 cup of salt to the food processor. Pulse the mixture again allowing the citrus slices to incorporate evenly with the salt. Continue pulsing until you achieve a fragrant and flavourful citrus salt blend.
  1. Once the citrus salt is ready, transfer it to an airtight container for storage. Make sure to label the container for easy identification.
