Ground Maple Sugar
Maple Sugar is the crystalized remains of maple syrup that is boiled until all of its water is driven off. This produces a shelf-stable, dry form of maple syrup more easily transported, stored and used in recipes in which extraneous liquid is not desired. Once cool the only other process it undergoes is grinding and sieving to create this consistent powder.
Suggested Use: Use to impart maple flavour on cooked fruits or vegetables. Sprinkle on buttered toast. Substitute for some of the granulated sugar in shortbread and other cookies. Sprinkle on popcorn or other snacks to add a naturally sweet touch of maple flavour.
